At EDOCEO Academy, we believe clinical education carries a responsibility greater than the delivery of courses. Knowledge should strengthen clinicians, improve patient care and contribute positively to the communities in which we live and work.
Our commitment to community is reflected in the organisations we support, the educational resources we make freely available and the time our directors contribute to healthcare education across Australia.

EDOCEO Academy proudly provides financial support to Ambulance Wish Western Australia, a volunteer-led charity dedicated to fulfilling final wishes for people living with terminal or life-limiting illness.
Ambulance Wish Western Australia helps people reconnect with the places, people and experiences that matter most to them. A wish may involve returning home, visiting the ocean, attending a family celebration, saying goodbye to a beloved pet or simply spending meaningful time with loved ones.
As founders of Ambulance Wish Western Australia, Susie and Gary understand the profound effect that a final wish can have – not only for the wish recipient, but also for their family, friends, clinicians and the volunteers who make it possible.
Through its financial support of the charity, EDOCEO Academy helps contribute to the costs associated with fulfilling these wishes and sustaining this important community service.
Clinical education creates knowledge. Compassion gives that knowledge purpose.
EDOCEO Academy hosts and supports Parefectioned – Paramedicine Education, an independent educational website created to encourage reflection, discussion and continued learning within paramedicine.
The website brings together clinical education, case-based learning, professional reflection and practical resources for paramedics and other pre-hospital clinicians.
Its purpose is not to replace formal clinical guidelines or local protocols. Instead, it provides a space to explore the reasoning behind clinical decisions, examine uncommon presentations and consider how evidence, experience and context influence patient care.
Red Shift Rambles
The Red Shift Rambles educational blog forms part of Paramedicine Education.
Written from the perspective of an operational clinician, the blog explores cases, clinical questions and learning points inspired by the realities of working on red shift. Posts combine professional reflection with concise clinical education, particularly around unusual, easily overlooked or less frequently encountered presentations.
The aim is not to provide every answer. It is to encourage clinicians to remain curious, question their assumptions and continue learning from the patients they meet.
Contributing to healthcare education
EDOCEO Academy’s community contribution is not limited to its own courses.
Susie and Gary, directors of EDOCEO Academy, voluntarily contribute their time, clinical experience and educational expertise to organisations and programmes working to improve healthcare education.
Their contributions have included:
* Delivering education programmes delivered through the Safe Airway Society;
* Facilitating with third party continuing professional education;
* Contributing to professional education and development activities previously undertaken through Paramedics Australasia;
* Developing and sharing educational articles, clinical resources and reflective learning materials;
* Supporting multidisciplinary learning across pre-hospital, emergency and critical care settings.
These activities reflect a shared belief that high-quality education grows through collaboration. By contributing beyond EDOCEO Academy, Susie and Gary help support a wider culture of thoughtful practice, clinical curiosity and continual improvement.
