This one-day course is designed for paramedics, nurses and pre-hospital clinicians who want to strengthen their 12-lead ECG interpretation and cardiac rhythm management in the context of acute coronary syndromes.
Through a blend of expert teaching, hands-on ECG workshops, case studies and group discussions, you will gain the confidence to interpret with accuracy and act decisively in the pre-hospital setting.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
• Explain the role and importance of 12-lead ECGs in pre-hospital ACS care;
• Perform a structured 12-lead ECG interpretation;
• Identify a normal 12-lead ECG;
• Recognise STEMI and Occlusion MI (OMI) patterns;
• Differentiate ACS from common ECG “imposters”;
• Interpret cardiac axis deviation and conduction abnormalities;
• Recognise and manage bradycardias and tachycardias;
• Identify and manage heart blocks;
• Recognise prolonged QT and associated risks; and
• Integrate ECG findings into pre-hospital treatment and transport decisions.
